Taking a Break

So, it has been roughly seven months since the last time I sat at this desk and typed away as I am now. At the beginning of May when I got back from Italy I had many posts planned and ready to post and loads of things from my trip that I wanted to share with you. However when I came home I just needed a break, the trip was amazing and we did so much- I can’t wait to go back. I decided to take a week or so off just to ground myself and get back into the swing of things. Well time has flown by and my ‘week or so’ turned into seven months! Honestly I just didn’t feel like blogging, not just blogging but anything to do with it. I hadn't even signed into my blog loving account or read any blogs until fairly recently.
I spent my time meeting with family, going out with friends and attempting to get the last bits of sun before autumn began. I've been really busy with other things going on in my life, i have been working on some very exiting projects and my blog took a back seat.
Anyway the morel of the story is that it’s okay to take so time off and don’t do something if it isn’t making you happy anymore. Take a break, re-evaluate why you are doing it, and have some time for yourself. You don’t need to make everyone else happy all of the time.
But the last few days I’ve been itching to get writing and interacting with you all again. So expect to see some new posts up soon.

Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion

Moring everyone! Today i thought i would do a review of the Nivea In-Shower Nourishing Body Lotion. When it comes to moisturizing after i get out of the bath, i am the worst. The bath makes me so chilled and tired, all i want to do is crawl into bed and read a book. So every night i find my self debating weather to moisturize or get in bed, and lets be honest i usually choose my bed. So i decided to give the Nivea In-Shower Moisturizer ago, This way i can be lazy when i get out of the bath but i still end up with lovely smooth skin.
Firstly, it feels really nice when you put it on, it is very smooth and it soaks in really quickly. Once you've smoothed it on you can rinse it off almost straight away and it leaved your skin reeling really smooth. Even once you've dried yourself your skin still feels amazing. Its a bit like using a conditioner but for your body, I love it!
I have also tried the almond one which i enjoyed just as much. This does however run out quicker than an ordinary body lotion would as you need to use more. But overall i really like using this product and will be continuing to use this in the future.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend so far, Have you tried this? Let me know what you think.

Soap And Glory Sugar Crush Minis

Morning Everyone! Can you believe its near the end of the month already. This year seems to be flying by. Today i thought i would share with you some of the Soap And Glory Mini's. I love small beauty products, I'm not sure what it is but they always seem so much cuter when they are tiny. I love soap and glory products anyway but they also have minis! They are so handy to travel with, or just to take in your bag, also the sugar crush range is one of my all time favourite scents. So here is a few things from the Soap And Glory Mini's range.

This set would be perfect as a gift, it is packaged really lovely and it contains minis of the sugar crush body butter and body wash.

I always have hand gel in my bag, but i hate the smell of it so i was very exited when i saw this. Now i can have clean and nice smelling hands.
I have never tried any of the soap and glory sprays before, so i am exited to try this.

This isn't in the sugar crush range but i saw it and it sounded really nice, so i thought i would give it a try. also its good for traveling and I'm planning on taking this away with me.
This is one of my all time favourite products ever! It smells amazing, and the hand cream itself sinks in really quickly, it doesn't leave my hands feeling sticky and it also leaves my hands feeling amazing. If you haven't already you should definitely give this ago. Also the bottle lasts really well and a little goes along way.

I also think that the selection i have chosen would make a really nice gift for someone.
Have you tried any of these? Let me know if you love Minis too.

Makeup Brush Cleansing Routine

Morning everyone, today i thought i would talk to you a little it about my makeup brush cleansing routine and show you some of my most regularly used makeup brushes.
Firstly, i use baby shampoo to wash my makeup brushes. I just rinse the brushes then make a lather using the shampoo, then i just rinse. Sometimes i have to repeat if the brush is slightly bigger, for example my powder brush. Then i just towel dry and much as i can and then just leave them overnight to air dry.
I'd say i wash my facial brushes once a week as they can get quite a lot of build up and i want them to stay clean and fresh. However i wont wash my eye brushes quite so frequently because i don't feel like they need it, so i probably do them once every two weeks.
I love using baby shampoo to clean my brushes, it works really well at getting rid of all of the dirt and also leaves it feeling really soft, and smelling lovely.

Hope you had a lovely weekend. What do you use you clean your brushes?

Best Body Lotions - The Body Shop

I am and have always been such a huge fan of The Body Shop body care products, in fact i think every body lotion i own is from there. Today i thought i would show you some of my favourites.

This is a fairly new purchase, i had never tried any of their body milks before. And i love the idea that it was in a spray, its so handy just to spray on quickly after you get out of the shower. It soaks in really quickly and leaves skin feeling amazing. Coconut is one of my favourite scents from the body shop, i use to use the coconut products all the time.

This as you can see has almost ran out, i loved using this in the winter months as it is slightly thicker and really nourishing. It leaves you skin feeling amazing. This is in the mango scent, i brought basically the whole mango range back in august. I have a bit of an obsession.

I really like the body butters from The Body Shop, i have yet to try a body butter as good as the ones The Body Shop make. I really want to try the olive body butter, i was in the shop the other day and it smelt amazing. This one is the strawberry scent.

One of my current favourites is the Body Sorbets, I think these are fairly new out as i haven't ever tried a body sorbet until i brought this. This is different to any other type of body lotion but its perfect, i don't like using body lotions that leave me skin feeling sticky or ones that take ages to sink in. This is perfect because it doesn't do either of those things. The consistency is in my opinion really lovely. Its difficult to described but its very light weight and smooth, but also isn't creamy. You should definitely give this a try if you haven't already. This one is in the Mango scent, which is another one of my favourites.
I will definitely be trying some more of the milks and sorbets.

Have you tried any of these? Let me know what you think.

Mini Beauty Haul

Hello everyone, i hope you've had a lovely weekend! Its Monday again, these weeks seem to be going by so quickly. I will be of to Italy in just over two weeks now, which is very exciting. On Saturday i went shopping and picked up a few bits, so i thought i would show you what i brought. It isn't very often i go out and just pick up things i see and like. Usually i only buy things I've planned on getting so even though i didn't get much but it was still a nice treat.

Collection eyes uncovered eye shadow pallet
I have been in need of a smaller eye shadow pallet, all of the ones i use seem to be in big containers which isn't ideal for traveling or even storing. So when i saw this and thought i would give it ago, i love natural pallets and this seemed perfect. I am very excited to give this ago, i will let you know what i think.

I also got another bottle of the body shop seaweed mattifying day cream. I love this moisturiser so much, it is the best moisturiser i have tried yet. I am now on my third bottle and i will defiantly continue to buy.
I brought a pack of these two years ago when i went to Spain, and i remember they was really good and lasted really well so when i saw them in savers for just £1 i made sure i picked up a pack.

I have never actually had stiletto nails before, i think they look lovely but i have never had the confidence to wear them. When i was in savers i saw these, i love elegant touch i think all of their nails and their glue is really good quality and these were only £2.99 so i thought i would just go for it and give them ago. I chose the bare nails so i can paint them myself and i can change the colour and find one i like. I am very excited to give these ago, i will make sure i blog photos of what they look like on. Also they came with a bigger bottle of glue which is great as they usually only come with a little tube which doesn't last very long.

I must have spent at least an hour in the body shop, i hadn't planned on buying any face masks but i found myself intrigued by the scrub masks, they looked really great. I didn't actually end up buying them but i will be making a trip up there soon to pick some up. I actually ended up buying another bottle of the warming mineral masks as i have nearly ran out of my other bottle.
Finally i picked up another tube of the Absinthe Hand Cream By The Body Shop, it isn't very often i find a hand cream that i actually love but this i defiantly do. I'm now on my second bottle and can't see myself stopping using it anytime soon.

Hope you all have a lovely week, have you tried any of these?

Five Things That Make Me Feel Better

Hello everyone, I’m not very well at the moment and I realised when I’m not well there is always a few things I do that always make me feel better, so I thought I would share those with you. Weather I’m feeling unwell, stressed, over worked or just not myself I tend to do these and they always make me feel calm and a bit more normal.
1.       Taking a warm candle lit bath. Whenever I have candles on the side of my bath I automatically feel so much more relaxed: the lovely smells, the dimmed lights, the warmth of the bath, just allowing my mussels to relax and to be calm in a stress free environment. It just seems to relieve all tension, Also adding some bath bombs always make me feel great.

2.       Being outside at night. I’m not sure what it is about being out in the dark but it is so calming. Weather its opening and looking out my bedroom window, the car window whilst on a drive listening to music, or sitting outside looking at the stars, the moon and passing clouds. This is one of my favourite things to do. You can just forget all of the stress and just be in the moment, observing nature and what’s around you: the sounds, the smells, the feeling of wind on your skin. It’s just so perfect.

3.       Meditation. I don’t meditate as often as I would like but when I do I really love it. I would say I meditate roughly twice a week. When i first started meditating i was really bad at it, my mind would wonder off but now i use guided meditations and have grown better and better at controlling my thoughts. My favourite apps to use are Calm and Headspace, they are perfect short guided meditations if you want to take a few minuets brake. I actually did a review on the Calm book which i really love so if you want to see a bit of the book i will link it Here.

4.       Essential oils. At the moment I have been obsessed with the smell of lime. I never was to fusses about it until my mum and I went to the centre parks spa, there was many steam rooms and there was one that used lime essential oil and the smell of it was amazing - ever since I have loved it. So now every night before I go to bed I put a few drops of essential oils on the corner of my pillow, my current favourite combination is lime and lavender. This just relaxes me, it smells great and helps me to sleep.
5.    Getting cosy. I love putting on some fresh PJs, some fluffy socks, rapping up in a blanket and chilling out on the sofa watching Netflix or a good film.
Do you do any of these? What makes you feel better?

Bourjouis Bronzing Powder

Morning everyone, Its finally Friday!!! I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Today i thought i would do a review on the Bourjouis Bronzing Powder. This is one of my favourite bronzers, I have been using it since last summer and it is still something i use everyday.
I started using this in the summer because i wanted a more natural looking bronzer that still gave my skin a nice shape and glow, and this does just that. I am still using it now and I'm still really enjoy it. Also it has lasted really well, considering the amount I've used it you would expect it to have hit pan already but it has barely made a mark - you can stull see the outline of the chocolate pattern.
Not only does it last ages in the box, it lasts all day on my skin. I use it as a bronzer and under my cheekbones as a contour. I do however sometimes use another contour on top just for added shape but this is great for a more natural look. Another thing i love about this is that it is that it is matte but it still gives a nice glow, doesn't look cakey and blends really nicely.
Overall i really enjoy using this and i definitely recommend.

Favourite Face Masks - The Body Shop

Morning Everyone, Hope you've been having a lovely week so far. Today i thought i would show my current two favourite face masks. The Body Shop is by far my favourite brand to by my face masks. I have tried face masks from lots other brands and a lot of the time i don't like them as they tend to smell like chemicals, dry my skin or break me out however every one I've tried from The Body Shop I have really enjoyed. I use a face mask about twice a week, i switch between these two depending on how my skin is looking and feeling. These are my current go to face masks i have been using recently.
I have been Loving using this when i feel like my skin is starting to break out or if my skin feels like it needs a good clean. This is deep cleansing, however isn't to abrasive or harsh. Its has a cooling sensation which makes my skin feel really fresh. When I've finished using this my skin feels really smooth and clean. And have also noticed a visible difference in my skin since using this.

I brought this after using the Sanctuary Spa 5 Minuet Thermal Detox Mask, i loved that mask and wanted to try some more self heating masks. That is when i found the body shop one, i actually prefer this to the thermal detox because the heat sensation lasts longer and is warmer. It goes on really smooth and warms up as your rub it into your skin, the heat lasts really well, it leaves my skin feeling amazing. Also another bonus is that it doesn't dry on your skin which makes it a dream to wash off. Sometimes using a face mask can feel like a chore and sometimes i just cant be bothered but with this i don't feel like that at all, it is so relaxing and the warming sensation is perfect for these winter months. I love coming home, taking my makeup off and warming up with this mask at the end of a busy day.

What are your favourite face masks?
