Five Things That Make Me Feel Better

Hello everyone, I’m not very well at the moment and I realised when I’m not well there is always a few things I do that always make me feel better, so I thought I would share those with you. Weather I’m feeling unwell, stressed, over worked or just not myself I tend to do these and they always make me feel calm and a bit more normal.
1.       Taking a warm candle lit bath. Whenever I have candles on the side of my bath I automatically feel so much more relaxed: the lovely smells, the dimmed lights, the warmth of the bath, just allowing my mussels to relax and to be calm in a stress free environment. It just seems to relieve all tension, Also adding some bath bombs always make me feel great.

2.       Being outside at night. I’m not sure what it is about being out in the dark but it is so calming. Weather its opening and looking out my bedroom window, the car window whilst on a drive listening to music, or sitting outside looking at the stars, the moon and passing clouds. This is one of my favourite things to do. You can just forget all of the stress and just be in the moment, observing nature and what’s around you: the sounds, the smells, the feeling of wind on your skin. It’s just so perfect.

3.       Meditation. I don’t meditate as often as I would like but when I do I really love it. I would say I meditate roughly twice a week. When i first started meditating i was really bad at it, my mind would wonder off but now i use guided meditations and have grown better and better at controlling my thoughts. My favourite apps to use are Calm and Headspace, they are perfect short guided meditations if you want to take a few minuets brake. I actually did a review on the Calm book which i really love so if you want to see a bit of the book i will link it Here.

4.       Essential oils. At the moment I have been obsessed with the smell of lime. I never was to fusses about it until my mum and I went to the centre parks spa, there was many steam rooms and there was one that used lime essential oil and the smell of it was amazing - ever since I have loved it. So now every night before I go to bed I put a few drops of essential oils on the corner of my pillow, my current favourite combination is lime and lavender. This just relaxes me, it smells great and helps me to sleep.
5.    Getting cosy. I love putting on some fresh PJs, some fluffy socks, rapping up in a blanket and chilling out on the sofa watching Netflix or a good film.
Do you do any of these? What makes you feel better?

Bourjouis Bronzing Powder

Morning everyone, Its finally Friday!!! I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Today i thought i would do a review on the Bourjouis Bronzing Powder. This is one of my favourite bronzers, I have been using it since last summer and it is still something i use everyday.
I started using this in the summer because i wanted a more natural looking bronzer that still gave my skin a nice shape and glow, and this does just that. I am still using it now and I'm still really enjoy it. Also it has lasted really well, considering the amount I've used it you would expect it to have hit pan already but it has barely made a mark - you can stull see the outline of the chocolate pattern.
Not only does it last ages in the box, it lasts all day on my skin. I use it as a bronzer and under my cheekbones as a contour. I do however sometimes use another contour on top just for added shape but this is great for a more natural look. Another thing i love about this is that it is that it is matte but it still gives a nice glow, doesn't look cakey and blends really nicely.
Overall i really enjoy using this and i definitely recommend.

Favourite Face Masks - The Body Shop

Morning Everyone, Hope you've been having a lovely week so far. Today i thought i would show my current two favourite face masks. The Body Shop is by far my favourite brand to by my face masks. I have tried face masks from lots other brands and a lot of the time i don't like them as they tend to smell like chemicals, dry my skin or break me out however every one I've tried from The Body Shop I have really enjoyed. I use a face mask about twice a week, i switch between these two depending on how my skin is looking and feeling. These are my current go to face masks i have been using recently.
I have been Loving using this when i feel like my skin is starting to break out or if my skin feels like it needs a good clean. This is deep cleansing, however isn't to abrasive or harsh. Its has a cooling sensation which makes my skin feel really fresh. When I've finished using this my skin feels really smooth and clean. And have also noticed a visible difference in my skin since using this.

I brought this after using the Sanctuary Spa 5 Minuet Thermal Detox Mask, i loved that mask and wanted to try some more self heating masks. That is when i found the body shop one, i actually prefer this to the thermal detox because the heat sensation lasts longer and is warmer. It goes on really smooth and warms up as your rub it into your skin, the heat lasts really well, it leaves my skin feeling amazing. Also another bonus is that it doesn't dry on your skin which makes it a dream to wash off. Sometimes using a face mask can feel like a chore and sometimes i just cant be bothered but with this i don't feel like that at all, it is so relaxing and the warming sensation is perfect for these winter months. I love coming home, taking my makeup off and warming up with this mask at the end of a busy day.

Makeup Staples

Morning everyone, i hope you've all had a great week. Its finally Friday and i am more than ready to chill. I  broke up from school yesterday so i am looking forward to a week of chilling out and focusing a bit more on blogging. Today i thought i would show you the face makeup I've been loving recently.
Back in the summer i did a review on the L'Oreal foundation saying how pleased i was with it and how much i was enjoying using it, and I'm glad to say that my opinion hasn't changed. I've been using this everyday since i first purchased it in July- Bar a few times I've ran out of it and haven't had time to get some more. I am now on my fourth bottle.
This is a fairly new product and i only started using it two months or so ago. I'm now half way thought my second bottle.  This is really great for use under eyes to cover under eye circles but also for blemishes and for redness that wasn't quite covered by my foundation. It is really natural, not caky at all, it lasts really well and doesn't make me orange or patchy by the end of the day. Overall I've been loving this and i will definitely repurchase this again when this bottle runs out.
This is by far my favourite powder ever, i have been using it every day for the past 3ish years and yet i haven't mentioned it on my blog. Its one of those products that i use everyday so i forget about it as it isn't swapping and changing like most other products tend to. Its is great at keeping skin matte, it doesn't make me orange, great at setting makeup, and its realty natural. Overall a really great powder.

Favourite Primers

I have tried my fair share of primers and out of those i have chosen my favourites. These are ones that i would be more than happy to repurchase again and again. I have oily skin so i need something that isn't going to clog my pores, that is light weight and that helps control oil. And all of these primers do just that.
The most recent one I've tried is the L'Oreal infallible primer, the consistency wasn't how i was expecting it to be at all. Its kind of like a jelly but when you rub it onto your skin it sinks in almost straight away, it is super light weight and feels as if you have nothing on. However It leaves the skin feeling really soft and moisturized. It doesn't make your skin greasy and gives my makeup really good ware and keeps me matte throughout the day. I have really been loving using this primer recently.
This next primer is The Body Shop Tea Tree Primer. This is great, it helped control oil, it didn't break me out, it helped my makeup stay set throughout the day. The tea tree leaves my skin feeling really nice and fresh, almost tingly. Its also gentle and light at the same time.
I brought this primer out on a whim, before i buy facial makeup or skin care i always research it first because i want to know that it isn't going to make my skin greasy. However i was shopping and in desperate need of a primer and i saw this. I  likes the idea of it being a matt serum, i hadn't seen that before. I tried this and have been obsessed with it since, and as you can see from the picture the bottle is now empty. It leaves my skin feeling great, it keeps my makeup looking nice, keeps my skin matte, and it doesn't make my skin greasy. Overall a very good purchase.

Have you tried any of these? Let me know what you think.

Hair care favourites

Hello everyone, I hope your day has been great. I’ve just got in and I’m chilling on my bed typing this. Today I thought I would do a hair post, I’ve not done one of these before so I thought it would be good to show you what I’ve been using. These are staples in my hair care routine and I’ve been using them for several months now if not longer. People are always commenting on how soft my hair is and I am finally happy with the length and overall condition of it - even several people have stopped me in the street to tell me how nice it is. These are the products I've been loving:
Garnier Ultimate Blends the Marvellous Transformer Shampoo
Garnier Ultimate Blends the Marvellous Transformer Conditioner
I am quite picky when it comes to shampoo and conditioner, I find I'm always swapping which ones because I've never found some that is good enough to become a stable in my hair care routine, however a several months ago I came across these Garnier ones, and have been using them ever since- i must be on my 7th bottle of each by now.
Garnier Ultimate Blends the Sleek Restorer the Sleek Perfector Oil
I started using this in place of my heat protectant, the oil protects up to 180 degrees. I apply three pumps through damp clean hair, this leaves it really soft, smelling lovely, and does a really good job protecting against heat damage. I also use this as a serum sometimes, its perfect for these winter months when my hair if feeling a bit dull or is a bit 'poufy'. Also it leaves it smelling great.
Vatika Naturals Enriched Argan Oil
I use this about once a week as a hair mask, I just out this into my hair from root to tip, tie my hair up into a bun and leave for a couple hours. Then I wash and style my hair as usual. After doing this my hair is always really smooth and soft. I love doing this on a Sunday night, I find it just really leaves my hair feeling lovely and healthy throughout the week.
Batiste Dry Shampoo Tropical
This has always been one of my favourite dry shampoos, I've been using this on and off for about three years. I've tried several others and I really enjoy using herbal essences naked dry shampoo but I always find myself coming back to this one. The quality of the product is great and works really well. Tropical is my favourite scent out of the whole range, its sweet but also smalls a bit like coconut.
John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Lightening Spray
This is great just to give my hair some colour and highlights. It looks really natural, and is really easy to use. It has lightened my hair, made it look much glossier, and given it some lovely highlights. I've been using this for about two years every now and again to top up my roots.
